Silent Resurrection is from the Modern Coastal Collection of fine art photography and was taken at sunrise on an out of the way beach on Whidbey Island in Washington State. After the cold morning fog began to lift, faint coloring from the rising sun appeared. I wasn’t sure if I’d get any color that morning. I also called this Silent Resurrection because that morning, as I stood on the beach in solitude, I turned my head and there was a guy in the water with his fly fishing rod. I did not see of hear him arrive. It was like he just appeared from within the fog. And then the next time I turned that way, he was gone. I did not see or hear him leave. I had recently lost a friend who loved to fly fish. I had to wonder, in that quiet magic of the morning…
