Sun Rays is from the Modern Coastal Collection of fine art Impressionist photography and was taken at sunrise on August 9, 2024 on Bainbridge Island. My beach morning began at 5 am and I could tell right away it was going to be magical! As the sun crested the mountains, magnificent rays burst from above the small puffy clouds through the sky in a blue slightly darker than the backdrop. They were so pronounced they even appear in this Impressionist photo. Magnificent!!

Fine Art Paper Prints

Prints are created using eco-friendly fine art paper and are mounted on archival white artboard, providing a firm surface to protect prints.

For my archival quality fine art paper I have chosen a cotton-based paper to help promote my goal of being eco-friendly. The cotton used to manufacture this paper is not from the puffy white flower that we all recognize as cotton, but rather the linters, or byproduct, from the textile industry. Textiles are made using the longest, highest-quality fibers – the rest is discarded. This wasted cotton is salvaged and used to manufacture this cotton paper. Nothing could be more eco-friendly than reusing a product that is considered waste and would all end up in the trash. Prints will stand the test of time and bring color and sanctuary to your wall.
