Behind The Scenes of My Fine Art Abstract Photography
Behind The Scenes of My Fine Art Abstract Photography
When I show people my photos I often get comments like:
“What is that?”
“How do you do that?”
“How do you SEE that?”
The answers to the last two are usually something along the lines of…”I don’t know. I just do.” In part that is true, I just do. I notice things like shapes and patterns and textures that other people often don’t see. I don’t try it, it just is. And, I’m grateful for that gift that is beyond me. BUT, I also “practice” keeping my brain open to this gift through creativity workouts either with my camera, my pastels, writing, etc.
Today I thought I’d take you behind the scenes of my fine art abstract photography vision using a recent sunset shoot in the Pacific Northwest.
I was staying in Snoqaulmie for a few days playing foster mom to a friend’s dog. He’s quite the adventure seeker, like me, so we spent a lot of time exploring the outdoors. We arrived at Rattlesnake Lake shortly before sunset and I was hanging out on the shores of the lake taking in the beautiful blues. Nothing beats Nature’s fine art!
Suddenly THIS caught my attention!
So I got as close to the COLD water as I could without being IN IT and started playing with the reflections of the clouds on the water and how they changed with the movement of the tide.
Blue NightÂ
Blue Resonance
I love how they turned out and those BLUES just feed my soul! Hopefully you get a little blue soul energy infusion from these too!

Thanks to the many design enthusiasts I follow on Pinterest, I created a little portfolio of how these fine art abstract photography images would look on the wall!Â
