Doodle Messages ~ Creative Meditation

Doodle Blog Header - Template (2)

It’s been some time since I shared my Doodles on my blog. I’ll admit I fell out of my regular Doodle habit. I still Doodled, but I stopped Doodling every day. Sometimes life just takes twists and turns and things change. I’ve come to realize that for me, the Doodle isn’t a “quick draw” on a piece of paper. For me, Doodling is a slow down, go within, get quiet, melt into color and touch, and begin to listen to the thoughts and messages that come through in my head activity.

Hey, wait…that sounds kinda familiar doesn’t it?

Quiet…

Slow down…

Go within…

Listen…

MEDITATION anyone?

Yep, for me Doodling is meditation, creative meditation, and if it doesn’t happen for at 30 minutes I don’t feel like I get the true value from it. I need at least that long to get where I want to go physically and mentally. Based on this new knowledge, I’m working on getting back into the Doodle groove and indulging when I know I have the time, or need to MAKE the time given the energy in my body, to do it in a way that is fulfilling for me.

So here I am, back to being more intentional about my creative meditation time and listening deep for my Doodle messages and I wanted to share it with you! Hopefully this will be a more regular habit as well because I think we can all benefit from creative color and inspiring messages. Maybe the message I heard from within is a message someone else needs to hear too!

Doodle Message _ Gypsy_edited-1

This colourful little soul came to me one day last week and I just LOVE her! She came with a multitude of messages that I decided she needed to “wear” LOUD and PROUD. The messages came from thoughts in my head but also in the colors that appeared on the page as she came to life. Using the chakra color energies I got the message to stay open to divine guidance, get grounded in my purpose, and stay engaged in the present. That last one is a little something from my Doodle workshop lesson on the messages from faces in your drawings.

Faces looking forward are in the present, not looking to the past or the future.

In the NOW!

She’s actually an interesting evolution of my favorite recurring Doodle character, Gypsy Soul.

And now that I look at this there are even MORE messages! Gypsy was often looking into the past, or sometimes into the future. In the drawing above that divine guidance is creeping in, but she’s stuck looking at the past. And all that yellow! She’s totally unbalanced between the two complementary colors. She’s trying to control who she is, or who she thinks she SHOULD be, and not allowing her true self to show.

How wonderful to be in the NOW and living with divine purpose with this more recent Doodle.

Wait, all that from a Doodle?

Yep, all that and more from a Doodle CREATIVE MEDITATION practice!

Did this message resonate with you? Does she resonate with you and maybe send you a different message?  Let me know below!
