About the Experiences
This Yoga Nidra was written as a New Year’s Day practice for an in-person class. In this guided Yoga Nidra experience, you take a walk in the forest, discover your seeds of the year and plant them into the earth to tend and watch them grow. The Nidra experience symbolizes goals, dreams or intentions for your year and also includes a “forgotten plant” that might represent a personal gift or passion you’ve forgotten or neglected and gives it an opportunity to grow into its potential.
The experience also includes body awareness through Marma point rotation and focus on the breath. Happy New Year…or any new beginning! This Yoga Nidra practice can be done an time you are starting something new, a new season is unfolding or at each New Moon cycle. Enjoy this magical journey!
Duration: Approximately 45 minutes to include a brief intro and instruction on getting settled into your resting position.

About Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra works with the autonomic nervous system to calm the sympathetic nervous system and allow the parasympathetic to take charge. Brain waves move from beta to alpha, theta and delta. As the brain changes, the physical body changes. Yoga asana, the active poses, aren’t suitable for everyone, but Yoga Nidra is a practice that almost anyone can do, from children to seniors. Yoga Nidra is done lying down or sitting in a comfortable chair, and can even be practiced lying in bed, while following a guiding voice. Learn more about Yoga Nidra and the 30 Day Challenge here.
